Selena Gomez has found something “Rare” for herself.
The singer has reportedly completed the purchase of Tom Petty’s former mansion in Los Angeles for $4.9 million.
The home was custom-built for Petty and his wife in 1989, completed with his own eclectic tastes in mind with over 11,000 square feet of living space. The multi-story home also reportedly has several secret passages and hidden rooms, with 6 bedrooms and a total of 10 bathrooms.
Petty and Jane Benyo were married in 1974, and divorced in 1996. The “Into The Great Wide Open” singer left Benyo the house, and Jane lived there until 2015. The house has changed hands a few times since, but now belongs to Gomez after the singer spent several years house-hopping.
The home features two master bedrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs, both featuring private balconies. There’s also a media room, yoga studio, and an outdoor pool. The mansion also happens to be next door to a mansion owned by The Fast And The Furious star Vin Diesel.
Earlier this week, Selena released the “deluxe edition” of her Rare album, featuring three new songs, including “Boyfriend.” A portion of proceeds from the new album with go to the Plus1 COVID-19 Relief Fund.
