BTS will be the newest face of FILA.
The Italian sportswear brand confirmed their global brand ambassador partnership with the K-pop boy band in a press release issued on Tuesday (October 1)."BTS’s passion, positivity, and their genuine communication with fans are qualities that align with FILA," said a FILA spokesperson, per Billboard. "Their energetic and unique personalities also make them an optimal fit as brand ambassadors. We look forward to creating a meaningful synergy between two global brands."
"We are extremely thrilled to welcome BTS as FILA brand ambassadors," the statement continues. "With their global appeal, the group has inspired and impacted the world and we are very grateful for the massive amount of interest and support we’ve received. BTS has an incredibly loyal fan base and we will be devoted to communicating with that audience in a very special way."
According to contract details, the "Boy With Luv" superstars — consisting of V, Jimin, J-Hope, Jin, Suga, Jungkook, and RM — will be modeling FILA gear across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The first advert, expected to release early next year, will reportedly feature the message "One World, One FILA" as part of the worldwide partnership.
BTS ambassadorship with FILA is the latest in the band's string of past endorsement deals. Puma has partnered with the septet since 2015, which eventually led to last year's sold-out campaign. Earlier this year, the boys made history as the first male pop group ever to join forces with Dior.
In related news, BTS has been billed to perform at the 2019 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour presented by Capital One, kicking off on December 1 in Tampa, Florida, and will continue across the US throughout December including Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Washington DC, Chicago, Atlanta, and Miami.
