Word initially got around yesterday that Becky Lynch is dealing with an injury that will keep her from wrestling at the No Mercy tonight (Oct. 9, 2016) in Sacramento, California. Not much information is known, and the only update on the situation came from the Observer, where Dave Meltzer noted she could still appear at the show and whatever she’s dealing with is not serious.
Now, PW Insider is reporting that Lynch is not physically injured but is dealing with some sort of “health issue” that “is keeping her from taking bumps.”
However, she is at the Golden 1 Center for the pay-per-view (PPV) tonight, so it’s possible WWE runs an angle that will be used to explain her absence in storyline. Either way, the company is still promoting Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss in a SmackDown women’s championship match.
The one thing everyone can agree on is that said match will not take place.
