Police called to screening of One Direction film

It looks like fans of One Direction just can't wait to see the group's upcoming concert documentary "This Is Us." On Saturday, the One Directioners caused quite the stir at the Grove's Pacific Theaters in Los Angeles, where an advance screening was taking place.

According to the "Los Angeles Times," police were called to the venue to control the crowd after fans started rushing its doors to enter.  The paper says there were hundreds of mostly female fans present, some of whom had started lining up outside the theater's doors as early as 3:45 am.

A source tells "E News!" that the crowd got out of control after the first-come, first-serve seats filled up, and that "someone shouted" to the remaining fans that the band members were actually inside.

In fact, the boys were performing that night at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.  They'll finish their U.S. tour this week with four shows at L.A.'s Staples Center.
