Philadelphia Soul DB Kizer Voted Week 16 AFL MVP #PhillySoul

CHICAGO – Philadelphia Soul DB Rayshaun Kizer has been named the Week 16 AFL MVP, as voted on by Arena Football League fans.

Kizer (5-10, 195, Walsh) recorded seven tackles, one tackle for loss, two interceptions and four pass breakups in Philadelphia’s 58-26 victory over the Chicago Rush in Week 16. The two picks brought Kizer’s career total to 47, one shy of Arena Football Hall of Famer Barry Wager for the fourth-highest career total in League history.

Fans had 24 hours to vote for the award on ArenaFootball.com. Other candidates included Arizona Rattlers DB Virgil Gray and San Jose Sabercats DB Clevan Thomas.

Kizer will be back in action on Friday night as his Philadelphia Soul (10-5) host the Utah Blaze (5-10) at the Wells Fargo Center. Kickoff is set for 7:35 p.m. ET.
