Alberto Del Rio Cashes In & Becomes NEW WWE Champion

There is a new WWE champion & his name is neither CM Punk or John Cena, but Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio cashed in his Money In The Bank contract and defeated CM Punk at Summerslam, minutes after beating John Cena with some controversy to become the undisputed champion.

Triple H the guest referee for the bout missed a call (sounds like he should be calling the last out in a perfect game or no hitter) when John Cena's leg was on the ropes, giving Punk the win. As Punk celebrated, Cena tried to explain to HHH his leg was on the rope, HHH  explained he didn't see it or did he?

Triple H reached out to shake Punk's hand and congratulate him but Punk wanted nothing to do with it. HHH didn't seem to mind said that's alright raised his hand and left the ring. Then out of no where Kevin Nash, yes the same Kevin Nash who appeared at the Royal Rumble as Diesel and faded away as quickly as he reappeared, jumped over the guard rail and power bombs CM Punk. HHH seems confused on what just happened and while the camera is stuck on him looking "confused" Del Rio decides to cash in his contract for a WWE title match.

The bell rings and Punk's bell is rung with a shift kick to the back of the head. Uno, dos, tres, & NEW WWE champion Alberto Del Rio! Summerslam signs off the air and we are all stuck to wonder what is going to happen tomorrow night on RAW? Well here is a theory to ponder on, Mysterio will face whomever the champion is on RAW (Del Rio), however I don't see Del Rio taking part of any WWE championship match on RAW and if he does expect a quick DQ to help him retain. This gives Mysterio fuel for the fire to demand a real rematch not some cheap win or excuse to not have a match.

Punk lost which means he is also entitled to a rematch so expect him to demand his rematch. Also Cena was champion going into the match with Punk and he's also entitled to a rematch. Can you smell a four way match at Night of Champions? No that was no pun on The Rock who had nothing to say about Summerslam through out the PPV.

Now the part where the conspiracy factor comes in (Sorry R Truth but this is bigger then whatever spiders you're seeing). Punk played out Stephanie (who by the way looked AMAZING!) backstage to which she didn't seem to care for and well let's be honest she has McMahon blood so she's always got revenge on her mind. Later we see her leaving Cena's locker room and then later on before the match talking to HHH in the hallway, about what we don't know.

Could have HHH missed the call on purpose knowing Nash would attack Punk and also knowing Del Rio would cash in just to get the title off of Punk? Did HHH think Cena couldn't get the job done a lone? Why was Steph in Cena's locker room? Did she share this plan with Cena then discus the final details with Hunter before the match in the hall way? Dig even deeper, could this be the perfect storm to allow Cena to be a heel? Everyone loves CM Punk in a way everyone loved Stone Cold Steve Austin, anti establishment, yet can't say he's a true face. A new age screw job with Cena playing the role of HBK? Doing what's best for WWE and the boss. Interesting things to think about, but just when you thought you knew all the answers the WWE like Piper changes the questions. Thanks for reading. - MMB
