Eagles WR DeSean Jackson to go on IR with fractured ribs
In the middle of the Eagles imploding to their seventh straight loss, the team's top receiver, DeSean Jackson, had to leave Monday night's game with what was termed a sternum injury.
On Tuesday, Eagles coach Andy Reid told reporters that Jackson actually had fractured two ribs and that the team would place him on the season-ending IR list.
Jackson's injury is only the latest in what has been a season of disappointments for the Eagles. Though Reid said after the game that he hadn't talked about his job status with owner Jeffrey Lurie, multiple reports surfaced Tuesday afternoon that Reid, in fact, would coach in Week 13 at Dallas on Sunday night.
Losing Jackson -- who finished with 45 catches for 700 yards and two touchdowns on the season -- only makes matters worse.
