Legendary Wrestler Rejects WWE Hall of Fame Invitation,

A report credited to the Wrestling Observer Monday stated that WWE officials are interested in having Bruno Sammartino headline next year's Hall of Fame class. In regards to the report, wrestling convention promoter Sal Corrente issued the following statement on behalf of the legendary grappler to PWInsider.com:


"We understand that word has broken on the Internet regarding "The Living Legend" Bruno Sammartino being inducted in to the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. Since word has broken publicly, I can confirm that we have been contacted. I have been asked by Bruno Sammartino to announce that he will NOT be inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013."


It should be noted that Sammartino & WWE have been on bad terms for many years. Bruno has mentioned before publicly he is not interested in being inducted into WWE's hall of fame.
