American Bandstand was not only ground-breaking for it's time but also broke ground for a lot of hall of fame music acts. Since the early 1950's and for the next decade Dick Clark's American Bandstand called Philadelphia home. Arlene Sullivan co author of the new book Bandstand Diaries: The Philadelphia Year 1956-1963. Arlene was a teenager in the Philadelphia years of American Bandstand and would dance in studio B of the then WFIL-TV later becoming WPVI-TV building as a regular on the popular music show.
